Before the Flip

Here is a list of few things to consider before you attempt flipping your classroom.  While this list is in no way inclusive, it does highlight some of the most important issues that flipping must address
  1. Teachers have to understand to what extent students have access to the internet and requisite tech outside of the classroom.
  2. Find out what you are going have students do with all the extra time you have in class. Figure out what is best for them to do at home.
  3. Don't recreate the wheel! Find colleagues who have already flipped and listen to what they did to be successful.
  4. Make sure that you let your administrators know, keep your students in to loop, and tell parents what you are going to do.
